The U.S. Food and Drug Administration has announced that a popular ice cream company is recalling some of its bars sold in 31 states.

Dreyer’s Grand Ice Cream, based in Oakland, Calif., issued a voluntary recall of some Häagen-Dazs brand ice cream bars after an allergen was found, the FDA reported on Tuesday, Nov. 4.

“We are recalling this product because it may contain products that contain wheat in packaging that does not reveal the presence of wheat,” the company wrote in an online announcement this week. “Those with an allergy or severe sensitivity to wheat run the risk of serious or life-threatening allergic reaction if they consume these products.”
