Former President Donald Trump will make one of his last stops before Election Day in Pittsburgh.

Trump will hold a rally at PPG Paints Arena near Downtown on Monday, according to his official campaign website.

The former president is set to speak at 6 p.m. Doors open at 2 p.m.

The PPG Paints rally is part of a multi-state swing for Trump on the eve of Tuesday’s election. He will also hold rallies that day in Raleigh, N.C., Reading, Pa., and Grand Rapids, Mich.

Trump’s rival, Vice President Kamala Harris, is also holding a rally and concert in Pittsburgh on Monday. The Harris rally is scheduled for early evening at Point State Park, just 1 mile away.

It’s possible the two candidates could be speaking around the same time in the same general part of Pittsburgh.

Allegheny County announced that as a result of the rallies, non-essential county and City of Pittsburgh workers would be dismissed at noon Monday.

Pittsburgh Public Schools will operate on a half-day schedule.

The Pittsburgh area has received more visits from presidential candidates than any region in the country. With 19 Electoral College votes, Pennsylvania is the largest swing state in the country. Polling shows Harris and Trump are locked in a dead heat for the Keystone State’s prize.

Trump has visited Southwestern Pennsylvania eight times since July, when he held his first rally of the year in the region. It took place in Butler, where an assassin tried to kill him.

He has crisscrossed most of the region since, but has largely stayed outside of Allegheny County with the exception of a private appearance at the Pittsburgh Steelers game on Oct. 20.

Monday will mark his first public event in Pittsburgh during this election cycle.

This will also be the first time Trump is spending part of the final day of a campaign in the Pittsburgh area.

In 2016, he held a rally near the Pittsburgh International Airport the Sunday before Election Day. In 2020, Trump rallied at the Butler Regional Airport on the Saturday before the election.
