President Donald Trump tours an Apple manufacturing plant, Wednesday, Nov. 20, 2019, in Austin with Apple CEO Tim Cook and Ivanka Trump, the daughter and adviser of President Donald Trump, left.

Call it a case of mistaken facility.

On Wednesday, President Trump toured a manufacturing plant in Austin, Texas, that makes the Mac Pro computer for Apple. Trump was joined by Apple CEO Tim Cook, Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin and his daughter, Ivanka.

Once the tour was over, Trump took to Twitter to announce he had “just opened” the factory “that will be bring high-paying jobs back to America.”

Today I opened a major Apple Manufacturing plant in Texas that will bring high paying jobs back to America. Today Nancy Pelosi closed Congress because she doesn’t care about American Workers!

There was just a couple of problems with his statements.

• The plant has been open since 2013.

• It is not owned by Apple, but by Flex Ltd.

President Trump just toured a Texas plant that has been making Apple computers since 2013 and took credit for it, suggesting the plant opened today. "Today is a very special day."

Tim Cook spoke immediately after him and did not correct the record.

Congratulations to President Trump for “opening” a “plant” that @BarackObama announced in his 2013 State of the Union Address https://t.co/YKw49fG7Qr https://t.co/knNJvbv6el
