President Donald Trump finishes signing the coronavirus stimulus relief package in the Oval Office at the White House in Washington.

President Trump’s name is expected to appear on the coronavirus stimulus relief checks sent from the Internal Revenue Service, the Washington Post reported late Tuesday.

The addition is said to delay the delivery of the paper checks by several days, according to the report.

It will be the only time in history a president’s name appears on an IRS disbursement, whether a regular refund or one of the handful of checks the government has issued to taxpayers in recent decades either to stimulate a down economy or share the dividends of a strong one, according to The Post.

Originally, Trump wanted his signature on the checks but was told that was illegal, so Trump’s name will be printed on the memo line.

The $1,200 payments — with an additional $500 per child under 17 — will go to those with an annual income up to $75,000. The direct payment will decrease from there — subtract $5 for every $100 in income above $75,000 — before capping out at $99,000.

Paper checks reportedly only go out to taxpayers for whom banking information is unavailable — many of whom are low-income.
