Massachuetts Sen. Elizabeth Warren wasted no time attacking former New York City Mayor Mike Bloomberg during Wednesday night’s Democratic presidential debate.
Less than five minutes into the debate, Warren appealed to half of the country’s voting bloc in attempt to thwart Bloomberg’s attempts at the throne.
“I’d like to talk about who we’re running against: a billionaire who refers to women as fat broads and horse-faced lesbians. … And no, I’m not talking about Donald Trump. I’m taking about Mayor Bloomberg,” Warren said.
The Las Vegas crowd appeared shocked and let out a collective “Oooouuuuhhh.”

According to the Washington Post, Warren was referencing a statement that Bloomberg allegedly made about a “horsey-faced lesbian” in the British royal family. That quote is from the 1990 booklet, “The Wit and Wisdom of Michael Bloomberg,” which was compiled by a Bloomberg executive and given to him on his 48th birthday.
Bloomberg has denied making statements in the 32-page booklet.
WOWZA! Warren goes in with the fat broad & horse-faced lesbian double whammy... This is already sensational.. #demdebate— Piers Morgan (@piersmorgan) February 20, 2020
Bloomberg responded Warren’s jab saying that he is person who can take Trump down.
“I’m a New Yorker. I know how to take on an arrogant con man,” the former mayor said.
To boot, Warren also referred to Bloomberg as “arrogant” moments before.
“Democrats take a huge risk if we just take one arrogant billionaire and substitute him for another,” Warren said.
