Pennsylvania surpassed 110,000 coronavirus cases on Wednesday, according to a report from the state’s Department of Health.
A total of 834 new positive results brought the state’s total to 110,218.
The state also reported 16 additional deaths to bring the total to 7,162 attributed to covid-19 since the state’s outbreak began in March.
Allegheny County had the most new cases (125), followed by Philadelphia (111), Delaware (62), Montgomery (52) and Lehigh (42). Sixteen counties reported no new cases.

In Southwestern Pennsylvania, Allegheny’s 125 new cases raised its total to 7,718. Here’s a look at the total positive cases (as of Wednesday) for neighboring counties and the growth from Tuesday:

Deaths in Pennsylvania have primarily affected those age 60 and older — at around 93%— according to the state’s covid-19 dashboard.
The state also reported that 4,883 deaths have occurred in residents of nursing or personal care homes.
