The shortage of medical equipment in this time of the coronavirus pandemic has made hospitals desperate for help — no matter the source.

In the United Kingdom, a hospital in the National Health Service even sought out help in procuring scrubs from a medical fetish company, Newsweek reports.

Luckily for them, MedFetUK delivered.

“Today we donated our entire stock of disposable scrubs to an NHS hospital,” the company posted on its Twitter feed. “It was just a few sets, because we don’t carry large stocks, but they were desperate, so we sent them free of charge.”

The fetish company deals in medical gear for those who like to … play doctor.

While the company didn’t name the hospital, it said it was in the south of England.

“When we, a tiny company set up to serve a small section of the kink community, find ourselves being sought out as a last-resort supplier to our National Health Service in a time of crisis, something is seriously wrong. In fact, it’s scandalous,” the company said in a later tweet.

The company went on to blame “a decade of chronic underfunding and cuts” that has left the health system in England struggling.

MedFetUK praised the doctors, nurses and other staff members for doing “an amazing job.”
