Man wanted in connection with Uniontown shooting arrested in West Mifflin, sheriff's office says
Allegheny County Sheriff’s deputies on Tuesday arrested a Fayette County man wanted in connection with a shooting last week in Uniontown.
The sheriff’s office said Ramon Williams III, 24, of Uniontown, had been at large since Nov. 14. Authorities said Williams had been involved in a shooting in which one man was shot in the head.
Uniontown police issued a warrant for Williams, charging him with attempted homicide, aggravated assault, simple assault, illegal possession of a firearm, possession of instruments of a crime and tampering with evidence.
The sheriff’s office said deputies arrested Williams in West Mifflin after he tried to flee from a residence there.
Williams was taken to Allegheny County Jail pending extradition to Fayette County, the sheriff’s office said.
