A man died Saturday morning after being shot by a woman in what Pittsburgh police say started as a domestic dispute.

Officers were dispatched to the Maple Ridge Apartment complex on the 2100 block of Park Hill Drive in East Hills around 11:30 a.m. Saturday to investigate reports of a shooting. Police said seven rounds apparently were fired.

Antoine Williams was dead at the scene, according to court documents. Charlotte R. Hill, 35, was taken into custody for questioning. She is charged with criminal homicide, intimidation of witnesses and terroristic threats.

Police said in a criminal complaint that Hill said she worked until 2 a.m. Saturday, went out for drinks and came home. Hill awoke to Williams banging on her door, and a physical altercation ensued when Hill let Williams into her apartment, the complaint said.

Hill told police she does not recall how she and Williams ended up outside, police said. Surveillance footage obtained at the scene shows Hill firing several rounds, and Williams is out of the frame in the footage, according to the complaint.

Police found Williams lying on the sidewalk outside of the apartment complex, the complaint said. A witness at the scene told police Hill yelled at them and threatened to shoot them, police said.

The Mobile Crime Unit was called to process evidence at the scene, and the Pittsburgh Police Violent Crime Unit is investigating, the complaint said.
