A 29-year-old Youngwood man accused of selling “large quantities of methamphetamine” out of his mobile home was hiding under a bed as state troopers raided his residence last week, according to court documents.

Kyle A. Bumbalough was arraigned Saturday on charges of possession of a controlled substance, possession and delivery of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Troopers began watching Bumbalough’s residence on Wagner Road Friday afternoon after receiving a tip that multiple people with active arrest warrants were inside, Trooper Joshua Wiskeman said in court documents.

During the surveillance, troopers learned Bumbalough, who rents the trailer, has outstanding drug possession warrants out of Fayette County and had “a large amounts of methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia” inside.

When troopers executed a search warrant, they detained Brian Moore, 34, of Herminie, in a rear bedroom. Moore was wanted for violating a protection from abuse order, Wiskeman reported.

While troopers were taking Moore into custody, “hands were observed underneath the bed,” Wiskeman said in court documents.

Looking under the bed, troopers found Bumbalough attempting to hide “with a knotted bag of suspected methamphetamine.”

During questioning, Bumbalough told police “he sells one-half ounce of methamphetamine per day” from the location, Wiskeman said.

Police also seized drug paraphernalia, including plastic bags and smoking pipes that were left “in the open,” according to Wiskeman. Police also seized prescription pills and ammunition.

Bumbalough, who also listed Dunbar Township in Fayette County as a recent residence, was arraigned in night court, but released Monday night after posting $10,000 bond, according to court dockets.

He was arraigned Tuesday in Connellsville on charges filed by state police in Uniontown for harassment, simple assault, terroristic threats and three counts of possession of drug paraphernalia after a Dec. 29 incident in Dunbar, according to court dockets. He was released on $10,000 unsecured bond in that case, according to online records.

He is awaiting a hearing after a Sept. 18 arrest, also by state police in Uniontown, for possession of a small amount of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia, according to court dockets.

Bumbalough could not be reached for comment. He did not have an attorney listed in court documents.
