An Irwin woman was ordered Thursday to spend two years on probation in connection with a stabbing earlier this year.
Lori Jo Olsen, 53, pleaded guilty to a count of simple assault. An attempted homicide charge previously was withdrawn.
She completed a drug and alcohol evaluation and is continuing mental health treatment, according to Assistant District Attorney James Lazar. She was ordered to have no contact with the victim.
Police said Olsen stabbed a man six times Jan. 27, 2022, after they were called to her Spruce Street home. A man who was stabbed twice in the arm and four times in the back was inside the kitchen and authorities said a knife was found in the sink.
Both the man and Olsen told authorities that they had been drinking and arguing when she stabbed him, according to court papers.
