Westmoreland news includes craft show, scholarship application deadline
Festival
• The Fort Armstrong Folk Festival, planned for Aug. 5-8, in Kittanning, is accepting space applications from vendors. Hours of operation will be 5 to 10 p.m. Aug. 5, noon to 10 p.m. Aug. 6 and 7, and noon to 6 p.m. Aug. 8. Vendors in the artists market must offer handmade goods. Fundraiser
• A craft show will be from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Feb. 20 and 21 at Grapeville Volunteer Fire Company, 2528 Newark St., Hempfield. Doors open for vendors at 6:30 a.m. The kitchen will be open. The event is held the third weekend of each month. Reservations: grapevilleeventcenter@gmail.com
Scholarship
• The Greensburg Garden Center is accepting applications for the 2021 Katherine Mabis McKenna Scholarship. The award is $1,500. Applications must live in Westmoreland County or its bordering counties and have completed on year at an accredited college or university pursuing a two-or four-year degree in botany, horticulture, forestry, landscape architecture or related field.
