Art
• Latrobe Art Center will host an opening reception for the Pittsburgh Watercolor Society’s annual member exhibit “Waterworks” at 2 p.m. April 27 at the center, 819 Ligonier St., Latrobe. Light appetizers and refreshments will be served, and many of the artists will be on hand. The exhibit will run through May 24 during the center operating hours. • Jeannette Assembly of God will sponsor its Tabitha’s Closet free clothing event from 5 to 7 p.m. April 26 in the church fellowship hall, 246 Pleasant Valley Road, Hempfield. Details: 724-832-7066.
• As part of the church’s 150th anniversary celebration, First Presbyterian Church of Belle Vernon will feature gospel praise band Westward Road in concert at 6 p.m. April 27 at the church, 501 Fayette St., Rostraver. Details: 724-929-7616.
Fundraisers
• Westmoreland Hospital Auxiliary will host a Spring Into Bingo fundraiser at 1 p.m. April 28 at Youngwood Firehall, 104 S. Second Ave. Doors open at 11:30 a.m., and lunch will be served until 1 p.m. Admission: $30. Top prize is a $1,500 jackpot. Extra packets will be served, and there will be a basket raffle and 50-50. • Heritage Methodist Church on the Diamond, Ligonier, will hold its annual spring rummage sale from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. April 26 and 8 a.m. to noon April 27 at the church. Lunch will be available, dine in or takeout. Proceeds will benefit global missions.
• A pork and sauerkraut dinner will be from 4 to 7 p.m. April 27 at St. John United Church of Christ, 1230 Brownstown Road, Larimer. • The Holy Name Society of St. Pius Church will host an oldies dance from 6 to 10 p.m. April 26 in the church social hall, Summit Street, Mt. Pleasant. Admission: $5, includes soft drinks, snacks and adult beverages. BYOB. There will be at 50-50.

Special event

Sports
• A free fishing derby for all ages will be from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. April 28 at Mammoth Park, Mt. Pleasant Township. Registration begins at 7:30 a.m. at pavilion 12. Anglers 16 and older must display a valid 2024 Pennsylvania fishing license. All youth participants registered by noon will be entered into a drawing for prizes. First and second place trophies and merchandise will be awarded for longest trout, longest carp and longest other fish of legal size in adult and youth categories. The event is sponsored by the Westmoreland County Bureau of Parks and Recreation and the Westmoreland County Sportsmen’s League. Details: 724-830-3950.
