• St. James Parish, New Alexandria, will have an all-day adoration for the memorial of St. Kateri Tekakwitha beginning at 8:30 a.m. July 14 at the church, 306 St. James Lane. Fundraisers

• The annual Bolivar Volunteer Fire Company Carnival will be July 14 to 16 at the firehall, 516 Market St. Hours are 7 to 11 p.m. July 14 and 15 and 6 to 11 p.m. July 16. There will be ride-all-night wrist bands will be available. A parade will be at 7 p.m. July 15 and fireworks display at 11 p.m. July 16.

• Norwin Public Library, 100 Caruthers Lane, Irwin, will have a used book sale from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. July 19 at the library. Proceeds will benefit the library and its children’s summer reading program. Sponsored by Friends of Norwin Public Library. Details: 724-863-4700.
