Fundraisers
• Jeannette Knights of Columbus hosts bingo at 7 p.m. Fridays in Mersinger Hall at Ascension Church, 615 Division St., Jeannette. Doors open at 6 p.m. and early birds begin at 6:30 p.m. Players younger than 18 must be accompanied by an adult. Food will be available. Details: 724-523-9244.
• The United Methodist Women of Greensburg First United Methodist Church are accepting orders for a takeout stuffed pork chop dinner set for Oct. 21. Menu: stuffed pork chop, mashed potatoes, green beans, applesauce and cake, $15. Order deadline: Sept. 30. Pickup: 4 to 6 p.m. Oct. 21. Advance orders required; no meals will be sold at the door. • A bingo to benefit Dream Horse Stables Booster Club will begin at 6 p.m. Sept. 23 at Lincoln Heights Civic Center, 42 Millersdale Road, Jeannette. • The Norwin Lady Knights Softball Team will sponsor a fall youth clinic for children in first through eighth grade Oct. 1 at the high school. This is an indoor and outdoor event. Doors open at 9:30 a.m. Children should report to Door 26 at the main entrance to the high school gymnasium. There will be sessions for pitchers and catchers, offensive skills and defensive skills. • Lincoln Heights Civic Association will have bingo from 1 to 3 p.m. Sept. 21 at the center, 42 Millersdale Road, Jeannette. There will be 20 regular games and five quickies. Cost: 25 cents for a three-card board; $1 for quickies. Payout is 50/50. Free coffee.
• A Chipotle fundraiser to benefit the Children’s Organ Transplant Association in honor of Marshall Fee will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Sept. 23 at Chipotle, 2014 Lincoln Place, Greensburg. • St. John United Church of Christ, 1230 Browntown Road, North Huntingdon, is accepting orders for a soup sale planned Sept 20. Varieties: chicken noodle, vegetable and stuffed pepper.
