Fundraisers

• Lincoln Heights Civic Association will have bingo from 1 to 3 p.m. April 4 at the center, 42 Millersdale Road, Hempfield. There will be 20 regular games and five quickies. Payout is 50/50. Free coffee. Cost: 25 cents for a three-card board; $1 for quickies.

• A bingo bash to benefit Greensburg Hempfield Area Library and Youngwood Area Public Library will be at 11:30 a.m. April 7 at West Point Volunteer Fire Department, 100 Volunteer Drive, Hempfield. Early entry and seat saving are prohibited. Cost: $30, includes lunch, drinks, dessert, snacks, dauber and cards for all games. • Community Church of Hecla, 537 Hecla Road, Mt. Pleasant Township, will host a Vera Bradley bingo at 2 p.m. April 7 at the church. Doors open at 1 p.m. A light lunch will be served. Details and tickets: 724-396-8065 or 724-244-2586.

• Bingo will be at 6:45 p.m. April 3 at St. Barbara Parish, 111 Raymaley Road, Penn Township. Doors open at 5 p.m. Cash payouts will be $110, $150 and $1,400. Packages include regular, special, jackpot and magic number games. There will be early birds, free coffee, quickies, an all-nighter, 50-50 and games of chance. Sundays: 10:30 a.m., AA Sunday Serenity; 7:30 p.m., Narcotics Anonymous.

Mondays: 5 p.m., SMART Teen and Young Adult; 6:30 p.m. SMART Family; 7:30 p.m. Gamblers Anonymous.

Tuesdays: 6:30 p.m., SMART Recovery.

Thursdays: 3 p.m., Recovery Yoga; 6:30 p.m., Family Group.

Fridays: 5 p.m., Life Recovery; 7:30 p.m., AA Friday Night Gratitude; 8 p.m., Al-Anon.

Saturdays: 8 a.m., first and last Saturday of the month, TRIAD Book Club; 11 a.m., third Saturday of the month, Doing Grief; 2 p.m., Dual Recovery Anonymous; 7:30 p.m., AA Saturday Night Sober.

Meetings

• The Botanical Society of Westmoreland County will meet at 6 p.m. April 3 in the red Conservation District barn, 218 Donohoe Road, Hempfield. There will be a short business meeting and then guest speaker Michael Doucette, a service forester for Westmoreland, Allegheny and Somerset counties will discuss common plants that ruin our woodlands. Light refreshments will be served afterward. Members and guests welcome.

• Greensburg Garden Center will meet at 11 a.m. April 2 at the center, 951 Old Salem Road. Speaker Todd Sherbondy from Davey Tree Co. will present “Trees That Talk.” A light lunch will be served. Public welcome.

Senior Citizen News

• Irwin Senior Activity Center, 310 Oak St., will have paper bingo at 12:15 p.m. April 2. All Star Cardio Drums sessions will be at 8:45 and 9:45 a.m. April 4. Details: 724-787-1760 or mumsest@aol.com.

• Valley Senior Center of Ligonier, 135 Kalassay Drive, Ligonier Township, will have Fine Art Miracles Music at 10:30 a.m. April 2. There will be an art session at 10:30 a.m. April 16.
