Class

• YWCA Westmoreland will offer a class, “Apple Basics,” from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. June 3, 4, 10 and 11 at the YWCA Mansion, 424 N. Main St., Greensburg. Cost: $20. Reservations required: 724-834-9390 or ywcawestmoreland.org.

Fundraisers

• Lincoln Heights Civic Association will have bingo from 1 to 3 p.m. May 16 at the center, 42 Millersdale Road, hempfield. There will be 20 regular games and five quickies. Payout is 50/50. Free coffee. Cost: 25 cents for a three-card board; $1 for quickies.

• A golf outing to benefit Mon Valley Paws will be at 2 p.m. June 1 at the Lakeside Course at Butler’s Golf Course, 800 Rock Run Road, Elizabeth Township. Check-in will begin at noon. • The Family, Career and Community Leaders of America at Greensburg Salem High School will conduct a drive-thru shoe collection from 8 to 11 a.m. and 2 to 5 p.m. May 18 in the gravel lot at the high school. New and gently used shoes should be placed in the trunk of your car, with pairs bound with rubber bands or have the laces tied together. The project benefits developing countries in need.

• Latrobe Art Center will present “A Taste of the Neighborhood: Pizza, Brews and More!” from 6 to 9 p.m. May 17 at the center, 819 Ligonier St. Enjoy a night of sampling local restaurant specialties including pizza, appetizers, brews and more from a selection of local eateries and breweries. Cost: $30, includes pizza, appetizers and/or samples of beer and wine. Tickets: latrobeartcenter.org.

• The United Methodist Women of Greensburg First United Methodist Church will sponsor a rummage sale from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. May 18 in the church fellowship hall, 15 E. Second St. Proceeds will benefit mission projects.

• The Irwin Garden Club plant sale will be from 9 a.m. to noon May 18 at Norwin Public Library, 100 Caruthers Lane, Irwin. Rain or shine. Cash only.

• Rehoboth Presbyterian Church, 442 Rehoboth Road, Rostraver, will have a spaghetti dinner from 2 to 6 p.m. May 18. Menu: pasta with meat or marinara sauce, salad, bread, butter, cake and beverage. Cost: large portion, $10; smaller portion, $6. Gluten sensitive pasta and cake will be available and there will be a bake sale.

• Fairview Church of God will have a rummage sale from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. May 18 at the church, 2202-2206 Route 982, Mt. Pleasant Township. Lunch and baked goods will be available.

Meetings

• Westmoreland Land Trust will meet at 9 a.m. May 17 at the Westmoreland Conservation District Barn, 218 Donohoe Road, Hempfield. Details: 724-325-3031 or westmoreland-landtrust.org.

Special events

• A free clinic to replace damaged license plates will be from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. May 18 at Greensburg Volunteer Fire Company No. 1, McLaughlin Drive.

• Union Presbyterian Church, 656 Route 380, Washington Township, will sponsor an active shooter presentation at 5:30 p.m. May 20 at the church. Cookies and coffee will be served afterward. Public welcome.

Theater

• Greensburg Civic Theatre will present the Tony Award-winning Best Play “The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time,” at 8 p.m. May 17 and 18 and 2 p.m. May 19 at the Greensburg Garden and Civic Center, 951 Old Salem Road, Greensburg. Cost in advance: $16; 55 and older, $14; students, $11. Will be $13-$18 at the door. Tickets: gctheatre.org or at the door.
