• Union Presbyterian Church will have a Blessing of the Pets service at noon Sept. 21 at the church, 656 Route 380, Washington Township. Bring an item for donation to Animal Protectors of Allegheny Valley in New Kensington.
Class
• The Pennsylvania Veteran Farming Network will offer a class about farm record keeping from 10 a.m. to noon Sept. 25 at the Westmoreland Conservation District barn, 218 Donohoe Road, Hempfield. Topics will include how to tell if you are a hobby or a farm, record keeping methods, tips on record keeping and where to find a farm accountant. Cost: $10. Fundraisers
• Congregation Emanu-El Israel Sisterhood will have its annual rummage sale from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sept. 22 and 9 a.m. to noon Sept. 23 at the synagogue, 222 N. Main St., Greensburg. Please enter through the back entrance.
• A flea market and bake sale will be held 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sept. 21 at Cook Township Community Center, 1714 Route 711. There will also be a dumpster day for township residents only.
• A rummage sale will be held 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sept. 21 at Fairview Church of God, 2202-2206 Route 982, Mt. Pleasant Township.

• Independence Health System Westmoreland will offer wellness check diagnostic screenings by appointment from 6:30 to 9:30 a.m. Sept. 25 at The Square at Latrobe, 100 Excela Health Drive, Latrobe. Sponsored by Greensburg Rotary. No walk-ins will be accepted. Appointments and details: 877-771-1234.
• An American Red Cross community blood drive will be held noon to 5 p.m. Sept. 26 at the Turkeytown Volunteer Fire Department social hall, 90 Supervisors Drive, South Huntingdon. Meeting
