Fundraisers
• St. John United Church of Christ, 1230 Brownstown Road, Larimer, will have a Dog Days of Summer hot dog sale from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Aug. 24 at the church. Combo meals and drinks available. Details: Lil, 724-493-8982.
• Feeding the Spirit will host a beach-themed fundraiser, “Endless Summer,” from 4 to 7 p.m. Sept. 7 at Stratigos Banquet Center, 131 Colonial Manor Road, North Huntingdon. There will be entertainment, a basket raffle, a lottery tree, a 50-50, appetizers, a Pittsburgh cookie table and a cash bar. Beach party attire welcome. Cost: $25 in advance online; $30, at the door. Reunions
• The 99th annual Ulery Reunion will be Aug. 25 at Laurel Highlands Campground Pavilion, Donegal. A buffet lunch will be served at 1 p.m. Bring a covered dish to share. Chicken, table service and coffee will be provided.
• Hempfield High School Class of 1968 will have a free reunion from 1 to 5 p.m. Aug. 25 at Greenhouse Winery, 2155 Gracin Lane, Sewickley Township. No reservations required. There will be live music. Bring a light snack, but no liquids.
Special event
• Mental Health America of Southwestern Pennsylvania in Greensburg will have its 60th anniversary celebration at 6:30 p.m. Sept. 13 at the Pittsburgh Zoo and Aquarium, 7370 Baker St. Highland Park. Cost: $100, includes aquarium access, animal encounters, food bars and special activities. There will be a cash bar and DJ. Tickets: tinyurl.com/hse4y7b4.
