Church News

• Greensburg Church of the Brethren will host a night of fun and fellowship for individuals and groups with developmental disabilities from 5 to 7 p.m. Mondays at the church, 554 Stanton St., Southwest Greensburg. Festival

• First United Church of Christ, Hitchman Street, Mt. Pleasant, will have a summer harvest music festival and vendor show from noon to 6 p.m. Aug. 10 at the church. There will be local produce, music, baked goods, an organ concert, children’s activities, chuck-a-luck and food. Vendor booths will be in the church basement.

Reunion

• The annual reunion of Latrobe Area Hospital employees and retirees will be at 1 p.m. Aug. 15 at the Slovak Society Picnic Area, 1210 Industrial Blvd., Derry Township. Menu: chicken, ham barbeques, sloppy joes, Italian roast beef and ham. Bring a covered dish to share, address labels for the drawings and a recipe for the recipe book. Cost: $5. There will be a basket auction, $200 lottery tree and 50-50 raffle. Funds raised will be used for next year’s picnic.

• Unity in the Community will sponsor an ethnic foods day from 2 to 6 p.m. Aug. 10 at the Elliott Amphitheatre, 501 Clay Ave., Jeannette. Bring a dish to share from your country of origin. There will be resource tables and educational information.

• Ligonier Valley Chamber of Commerce will host its annual Stroll event from 5 to 9 p.m. Aug. 9 in downtown Ligonier. Classic, antique and show cars will line the Diamond and two blocks of East and West Main streets and one block of North and South Market streets and there will be a DJ.
