Westmoreland County adds 15 new coronavirus cases

Westmoreland County saw 15 new cases of covid-19 added to its total Sunday, the Pennsylvania Department of Health reported.

There were 20 new cases added on Saturday and 18 cases on Friday. The seven-day average for the county is 16 cases.

The county’s total cases are now 1,731 with 1,679 confirmed and 52 probable.

No additional deaths were reported, leaving the death toll at 49.

The county last reported a death from the virus on Wednesday. There have been three deaths attributed to covid-19 in the county in August.
