Westmoreland County’s election board announced a series of changes to polling locations for the April 23 primary.

Election Bureau Director Greg McCloskey said a growing reluctance among churches and school districts to serve as host sites for live voting on Election Day had led to a series of changes over the last several years.

The county operates 307 voting precincts on Election Day.

Changes this spring are:

• Latrobe 4th Ward: from Latrobe Elementary School to Latrobe Manor, 1013 Jefferson St.

• Ligonier Township South Ligonier: from Rector Church to St. Michael of the Valley Episcopal Church, 2533 Route 381 in the village of Rector.

• Lower Burrell: from Loyal Order of Moose Lodge No. 53 to Lower Burrell Manor, 200 Sylvan Drive in Lower Burrell.

• New Kensington 4-1: from First Evangelical Lutheran Church to Westmoreland County Community College, 1152 5th Avenue in New Kensington.

• Scottdale Borough 3rd Ward and 4th Ward: from Christ United Methodist Church to Scottdale Volunteer Fire Department, 317 Pittsburgh St..

• Unity Township Baggaley: from Latrobe Area Senior High School Center for Student Creativity to Westmoreland County Regional Special Operations Center, 400 Kilo Lane, Latrobe.

• Unity Township Gravel Hill: from Greater Latrobe Area Senior High School auditorium to Saint Vincent Grove Dining Room, 320 Monastery Drive, Unity.
