Veterans Day deals for vets, active-duty military throughout Western Pa.
Local businesses and organizations are honoring the military on Veterans Day with a host of promotions and discounts Nov. 11. Unless otherwise indicated, all promotions are limited to Nov. 11. Most require some form of military ID.
Local events
• The Level Green Lions Club will host a Nov. 14 pancake and sausage breakfast from 7 a.m. to noon at the Level Green Community Building at 123 Murrysville Road.
Veterans can eat for free. Tickets are $6 for adults and $3 for children at the door. Proceeds will benefit the Lions Club charities. Covid-19 health and safety precautions will be in place for dine-in and takeout.
• Sky Zone locations, 160 Levin Way in Monroeville and 281 Georgetown Road in Canonsburg, will offer a buy-one-get-one-free jump session for veterans from 4 to 8 p.m.
• VFW Post 8430, 1200 Broadway St. in East McKeesport, will host a Veterans Day brunch for all combat veterans from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
• Market Street Pizza, 128 Market Street in Leechburg, will offer veterans a slice of pizza, bag of chips and a fountain drink Nov. 11 and 12.
A bite to eat
MilitaryBenefits.info has a massive list of free and discounted deals for veterans, including:
• All active and former military personnel can receive a 10% discount for the entire month of November at Eat ‘n Park restaurants.
• Veterans can receive a free coffee or Big Gulp on Veterans Day at 7-Eleven. The discount requires customers to download the 7Rewards app.
• Veterans and active-duty military can choose a free meal from a limited menu at Applebee’s, California Pizza Kitchen, Rock Bottom Brewery, Chili’s and Bob Evans on Veterans Day.
• Bar Louie locations will offer a free craft burger or flatbread to all active and retired military.
• Buffalo Wild Wings will offer free dine-in wings for active military and veterans at participating locations.
• Denny’s will offer a free build-your-own-Grand-Slam-Breakfast from 5 a.m. to noon on Veterans Day.
• Dunkin will provide a free donut to veterans.
• Golden Corral will offer a free dine-in meal for veterans and active-duty military from 5 to 9 p.m.
• IHOP will serve free Red White & Blue Pancakes from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
• Little Caesar’s will offer a free lunch combo from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
• Max & Erma’s will offer a free cheeseburger, endless french fries, a fountain drink and chocolate chip cookie at participating locations.
• Quaker Steak & Lube will offer free or discounted meals up to $15 plus a free nonalcoholic drink at participating locations.
• Red Lobster will offer a free appetizer or dessert from their Veterans Day menu.
• Red Robin will offer a free dine-in Tavern Double Burger and Bottomless Steak Fries from Nov. 12-30.
• Sheetz will offer veterans and active-duty military a free 6 oz. turkey sub and regular-size fountain drink, as well as a free car wash.
• Starbucks will offer veterans and active-duty military a free 12 oz. coffee.
Travel
• Amtrak is offering 10% off travel for veterans and active-duty military through Jan. 31, 2021.
• The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers is waiving all-day use fees for its recreation areas nationwide for veterans and active-duty military.
• Choice Hotels will offer 20% off stays through Nov. 25.
Other discounts
• Bed Bath & Beyond will offer a 25% discount Nov. 11-14. Military personnel can sign up online at BedBathandBeyond.com.
• Military personnel can receive 20% off purchases at all Columbia brand and outlet stores.
• Staples will offer 25% off purchases through Nov. 14.
• Enterprise Car Sales will offer veterans, active-duty military and dependents $300 off on used vehicle purchases through Nov. 30.
• Great Clips will offer a free haircut card, to be used Nov. 11 or saved for later.
• Sport Clips locations throughout the Greater Pittsburgh area will donate an additional $1 per haircut to support the company’s “Help a Hero” military scholarships. They also will offer free haircuts to veterans and active-duty military.
• Home Depot will offer a 10% discount on purchases.
• Office Depot will offer a 25% discount from Nov. 11-13.
• Target will offer a 10% discount on veterans’ purchases now through Nov. 11.
• Walgreens will offer a 20% discount on purchases from Nov. 11-15 with a Balance Rewards card and military ID.
• Dollar General will offer an 11% discount at participating locations and on qualifying purchases.
