Trafford man stabbed in domestic dispute; woman charged

A Trafford woman is accused of stabbing a man with a knife multiple times Saturday morning during a domestic dispute, Trafford police said.

Danielle Smith, 44, is accused of stabbing a man in both arms during an argument at about 9:30 a.m. at her Adrian Avenue residence, Trafford police said.

Smith is also accused of throwing a pot at the victim, causing a laceration, police said.

The victim was taken for treatment at Allegheny Health Network Forbes Hospital in Monroeville and Smith was taken for treatment at UPMC East Hospital in Monroeville, police said.

Smith was charged before Jeannette District Judge Joseph DeMarchis with two felony counts of aggravated assault and misdemeanor counts of terroristic threats, recklessly endangering another person and simple assault. A preliminary hearing before Penn Township District Judge Rebecca Tyburski has not yet been set.
