The Living Last Supper performed at Irwin church
On Thursday, congregation members from churches across North Huntingdon area participated in the annual reenactment of The Living Last Supper at First United Methodist Church in Irwin.
Actors spoke in soliloquy, reciting lines representing each of the 12 Apostles’ thoughts.
The scene was made famous by Renaissance painter Leonardo di Vinci in his painting “The Last Supper,” which was used as the model for the church’s production.
The Living Last Supper musical production was begun by First United Method Church music director Dianne Runser in 2007, who has been organizing the event since.
