State police are seeking help to identify a woman who they said stole $5,400 in a fraud scheme at three banks in the Greensburg area.

Troopers released a photograph of the woman on Tuesday.

They said she visited three First National Bank branches in Hempfield, Greensburg and South Greensburg within about an hour on April 7. At all three of the locations, she deposited a $16 U.S. Postal Service money order into accounts that didn’t belong to her.

She withdrew $2,400 at one location and $3,000 at another from the victims’ accounts, police said. Surveillance images from the third branch showed she was a passenger in a white car.

Anyone with information on her identity is asked to call state police at 724-832-3288 or contact PSP Tips at 1-800-472-8477. Tips can be made online here.
