State police are investigating an ongoing pattern of thefts from construction sites in the New Stanton and Mt. Pleasant area.

Troopers said they responded Thursday to a report of tools having been stolen from a construction site on Mt. Pleasant Connel Road in East Huntingdon, where someone broke into a construction trailer and took tools. The incident was similiar to other recent crimes, state police said.

A 47-year-old man from Fayette County is suspected by state police, but his name was not provided.

Anyone with more information is asked to contact state police in Greensburg at 724-832-3288.
