Scottdale Volunteer Fire Department is holding its annual fundraising carnival this week with games, amusement rides and lots of food.

The firemen’s fair, which began on Monday will continue from 6 to 10 p.m. Thursday, Friday and Saturday in downtown Scottdale.

Proceeds from the variety of food sold at the firemen’s tent will go toward the Scottdale Volunteer Fire Department.

The weather cooperated Wednesday night and good crowd was on hand for the highlight of the week, the annual parade featuring participating fire departments and other emergency response vehicles from across Westmoreland and Fayette counties.
