Saint Vincent College hosts panel discussion on women in business
A four-member panel will discuss issues concerning women in business in a free presentation Tuesday at Saint Vincent College.
Held in conjunction with International Women’s History Month, the event will begin at 6:30 p.m. in the Robert S. Carey Student Center lounge on the college’s campus in Unity.
The event is open to all. Advance registration isn’t required.
The panel includes:
• Abby Geisel, a 2014 Saint Vincent alumna, who is manager of video and email experience at FedEx. She has more than a decade’s worth of experience in marketing and communications in the public and private sectors and participated in the 2021 International Women’s Forum Global Conference;
• Taleesha Johnson, a 2013 alumna, who is the co-owner of photo booth company Picturesque PGH. She is a committee chair for the Promise Legacy, an alumni organization that supports the mission of the Pittsburgh Promise scholarship program. She also is a member of the Saint Vincent College Alumni Council;
• Victoria Piekut Bobak, CEO and co-founder of Wight Elephant Boutique. Started in her college apartment in 2016, the Greensburg clothing store reached $2 million in sales in 2023. In 2020, she won the title of Miss Pennsylvania and competed in the national Miss USA event;
• Laurie Havrisko, a 2004 alumna, who is assistant to the superintendent for student services at Greater Latrobe School District. She has worked in public education for 17 years. She holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology, master’s degrees in special education and school administration and is finishing a doctorate in community engagement.
