Skiers known for competing in the Olympics and X Games took to the rails this weekend at Seven Springs in a competition organized by Pittsburgh native and professional freeskier Tom Wallisch.

The Steel City Showdown pit the professional and amateur competitors against each other on rails and ramps built at the resort. Alex Hall of Salt Lake City, Utah, was the winner with 285 points, taking home $10,000.

Coming in second place was Colby Stevenson of Park City, Utah, with 281.3 points, and third place was captured by Tucker FitzSimons of Hood River, Ore., with 262.7 points. Stevenson won $5,000 and FitzSimons took home $2,500. FitzSimons qualified in the amateur competition.

The remaining skiers rounding out the top 10 who moved on to Saturday night’s final round were Jackson Karsteter, Alex Bellemare, Evan McEachran, Zach Masi, Cal Carson, Bobby Sullivan and Siver Voll. Karsteter and Masi qualified in the amateur division.

Other competitors included Joss Christensen, Alex Beaulieu-Marchand, Devin Logan, Antti Ollila, LJ Strenio, Phil Casabon, Quinn Wolferman, Ferdinand Dahl.

Many of the competitors have won medals in the Olympics and the X Games.

Fans got an up-close view of the action — the course was set up outside the Foggy Goggle, a resort bar. The course was designed and built by the Seven Springs Parks and Pipes Team.
