A portion of I-70 reopened on Aug. 20, 2021 after eastbound lanes were shut down for a crash.

A portion of Interstate 70 in Westmoreland County that was closed to traffic following a crash early Friday morning has reopened.

PennDOT cameras showed traffic moving through the area near Exit 51 at Mt. Pleasant, just before 10 a.m.

The eastbound lanes had been closed since at least 3:35 a.m. between Smithton (Exit 49) and Mt. Pleasant (Exit 51A PA 31).
