Rostraver Police are investigating a stabbing that was reported Thursday morning.

A 36-year-old man was taken by medical helicopter to UPMC Presbyterian Hospital where he underwent emergency surgery, according to police. The incident was reported just after 7 a.m. in the parking lot of Tri-County Plaza.

Police said the man was found with an apparent stab wound that happened sometime overnight. Anyone with information about the incident is asked to call Rostraver police at 724-929-4111.

The shopping plaza is off Route 201 near Interstate 70.
