Police: Burglar 'sprinted' way through Donegal Subway shop
A burglar sprinted his way through a Donegal Subway after breaking into it earlier this month, state police said.
The burglary happened between 12:30 and 12:45 a.m. on Saturday, March 9, state police said in a release issued Tuesday.
Police said the unknown person pried open the main entrance door to the Subway at 3594 Route 31.
After getting in, police said the burglar “sprinted” through the seating area of the store, then behind the front counter and eventually to the back room where the money lock box is placed every night.
The person grabbed the lock box and “sprinted” back to the cash register at the front counter, opening it and closing it immediately.
The person then “sprinted” back through the seating area before leaving through the front main door.
