PennDOT is planning intermittent closures of two sections of Depot Street in Youngwood beginning Monday .

Previously announced nighttime lane restrictions on Route 22 in the New Alexandria area and on Interstate 70 in Rostraver have been delayed and now are set to start on Monday and on Oct. 14, respectively.

The Depot Street closures are expected to continue through early November, depending on weather conditions, and are part of ongoing reconstruction of the Route 119 corridor in Youngwood.

When Depot is closed between Fourth Street (southbound Route 119) and Third Street (northbound Route 119), traffic will be rerouted using Third and Fourth streets.

When Depot is closed between Third and South Second streets, motorists will follow a detour using Third Street and Trolley Line Avenue.

The closures will allow crews to work on traffic signals, curbs, ramps and sidewalks along Depot.

Milling and paving on I-70 will cause single-lane restrictions between 8 p.m. and 6 a.m. each weekday from Oct. 14 through late October.

The work zone in Rostraver will extend for about one mile in each direction from Exit 46, at the Route 51 interchange. Paving will be completed on both the eastbound and westbound lanes.

That work was to have begun four days earlier.

On Route 22, single-lane restrictions will be in place between 8 p.m. and 6 a.m. Monday through Thursday in New Alexandria and Salem Township.

The restrictions are necessary while crews replace compression and strip seals on three bridges that carry the highway over Route 66, Beaver Run and Loyalhanna Creek. That work had been scheduled to start on Sept. 28.
