Penn Township police to take outdated meds in Drug Take Back Day

The Penn Township Police Department will take unused, unwanted and outdated drugs during the National Prescription Drug Take Back Day from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, April 30 at the Penn Crossing Shopping Center along the Harrison City-Export Road in Harrison City.

The drugs will be collected at the police department’s tactical truck, which will be parked near the Giant Eagle supermarket.

The public should not bring any antibiotics, over-the-counter medication or any liquids to the site. Social distancing and safety protocol will be maintained.

The Penn-Trafford Citizens for Drug Awareness is co-sponsoring the event, which is part of the U.S. Drug Enforcement Agency’s National Prescription Drug Take Back Day top reduce drug abuse.
