Paint a rainbow to benefit Irwin Rotary food program
Artists of all ages and experience levels are invited to create rainbow paintings to be displayed at Feathers Artist Market and Gifts in Irwin.
Pieces submitted for “Project Rainbow” then will be auctioned to benefit Irwin Rotary’s Care & Share Pantry, which provides food to community members in need.
Paintings should be on canvas and no larger 16-by-20 inches. Artists can use their own or purchase a canvas for $2 at Feathers, 102 4th St.
The finished works can be dropped off at the store beginning on June 2. The bidding will be held from June 22-27.
The artist whose work raises the most money will receive a prize, according to Feathers owner Tracey Alaia.
“A rainbow after the storm is hope. We want to spread some joy,” Alaia says on the store’s Facebook page.
