1 person injured in crash on Route 136 in Hempfield, officials say

One person had to be extricated from their vehicle by firefighters after this crash along Route 136 in the Fort Allen section of Hempfield on Sunday. A report on the accident was not available from state police in Greensburg.

One person was reported injured in a crash along Route 136 in Hempfield on Sunday morning, according to authorities.

Fort Allen Volunteer Fire Department Chief Neil Kush said one person was extricated from a car by firefighters following the crash at about 8:24 a.m. along the two-lane highway. The patient was taken by Mutual Aid Ambulance to an undisclosed a hospital for treatment.

State police in Greensburg are investigating. A police report on the crash including the identity of the driver was not immediately available.
