An Ohio man will serve up to 23 months in jail for sending pornographic images to a 14-year-old Irwin girl last year.

Phillip A. Puszak, 35, pleaded guilty in March to three felony counts of disseminating explicit sexual materials and unlawful contact with to a minor and one misdemeanor charge of corruption of a minor.

According to court records, Puszak made contact with the teen through an online video game and social media in early 2021. Police said Puszak “groomed” the child with sexually-themed conversations and sent her explicit photographs and videos of himself. Puszak also attempted to set up a meeting with the child, police said.

In court on Friday, Westmoreland County Common Pleas Court Judge Meagan Bilik-DeFazio sentenced Puszak to serve 10 to 23 months in jail and an additional three years on probation. Puszak, who has been free on a $200,000 for the past 14 months, was given credit for two weeks he served in jail following his arrest.

The judge also ordered Puszak complete sex offender treatment and barred him from working and volunteering with children.
