A Norwin graduate who was on the football team and a student who was on the team, both of whom were killed in vehicle accidents this year, were honored in a ceremony before Friday night’s home football game against Penn-Trafford.

A moment of silence was held for Josiah J. Pastories, 19, who was killed on June 13 in a one-vehicle crash in North Huntingdon, and Colin Bargiel, 16, who was killed in an dirt bike crash in North Huntingdon on March 30, said Mike Burrell, Norwin athletic director. Bargiel would have been a junior this school year.

The mothers of the two former players, Lisa Pastories and Amanda Bargiel, served as honorary captains for the game.
