The Norwin School District says it will need 30 days to release details of the recently approved six-year contract with the Norwin Education Association and a five-year agreement with building principals and administrators not represented by a collective bargaining agreement.

Norwin Superintendent Jeff Taylor stated in a Nov. 22 email to the Tribune-Review that because of staffing limitations, the district would need additional time to meet the request made under the Right to Know Act.

The school board on Nov. 15 approved a six-year agreement with Norwin’s teachers that provides them with an annual average pay raise of 3% over the life of the pact.

The five-year agreement with building principals, directors, supervisors and other administrators gives them salary increases that average slightly over 1% for the life of the pact, the district said.

The salary increases contained in the Act 93 agreement are based on a combination of an established salary range for each position and a performance-based evaluation ratings, the district said.
