No injuries reported in Rostraver mobile home blaze

No injuries were reported Tuesday afternoon when a fire extensively damaged a mobile home in Rostraver.

The fire occurred about 12:50 p.m. at the home along Knight Drive in the Port Royal Village, according to dispatchers.

“The resident was able to get out of the home without any injury. The fire spread up into the eaves and went through the roof,” said Rostraver Central Fire Department Chief Vince Campbell.

Multiple units from the Rostraver, Smithton and Sutersville fire department were able to quickly douse the blaze upon arrival, Campbell said.

The cause of the remains under investigation, but is believed to be accidental, Campbell said.
