3 arrested after police say drugs, firearms found at Homewood store
Pittsburgh police said they recovered drugs and firearms Thursday night in a convenience store in the city’s Homewood neighborhood.
Narcotics and Vice detectives executed a search warrant at the Cobra Convenience Store on Frankstown Avenue. Detectives said they recovered cocaine, marijuana, packaging paraphernalia and two firearms.
Sain Malik, 44, and Duane Woodson, 61, and a 16-year-old male were arrested.
Police said Malik and Woodson face charges of possession and possession with intent to deliver. The 16-year-old faces charges of possession of a firearm by a minor, receiving stolen property, and firearms not to be carried without a license.
Downed tree slows traffic in Ligonier
A downed tree tied up traffic early Friday morning along Route 30 in Ligonier near the Road Toad.
Westmoreland 911 said the fallen tree was reported at 5:49 a.m. and affected traffic in the eastbound lane.
Shortly before 8 a.m., Ligonier Valley Police Department reported the tree had been cleared off the road and traffic was no longer affected.
