Man accused of damaging car with tossed beer bottle in Rostraver
Rostraver police allege a 29-year-old man threw a beer bottle out of his car, causing it to ricochet off Route 51 and strike another car.
This week, police charged David E. Millero, of Uniontown, with reckless endangerment, propulsion of missiles onto roadways and criminal mischief before District Judge Charles Christner. Police said the bottle caused about $1,000 in damage to the victim’s car.
Police said the incident occurred after 6 p.m. April 24 along the northbound lanes of the highway near Mobert Drive. The victim, who was driving a 2019 white Honda Accord in the same direction, was unable to get Millero to stop and took photographs of the fleeing car’s license plate.
Sgt. Daniel Cope reported the damage was caused by a green Rolling Rock Beer bottle. Cope said he called Millero after the incident.
“Millero admitted to driving his vehicle in the area during the time and had an interaction with the victim in a white vehicle, but denied throwing anything out of the vehicle,” Cope wrote in court documents.
Christner scheduled a preliminary hearing for July 1.
