A night of friendly competition is planned for Aug. 23 at the Lincoln Highway Experience in Unity.
Starting at 6 p.m., the “Thinkin’ Lincoln Summer Classic” will feature fun individual and team competitions both outside and in the museum’s new addition.
Individual games will include basketball, fold a pie box and the Monopoly-inspired Lincoln Highway road trip board game. The regular Monopoly properties are replaced with landmarks from the Lincoln Highway Heritage Corridor, says office manager Yvonne Stack.
Two-person teams also can compete in croquet, cornhole, Jenga and something called Route 66, the watered-down highway — which probably will involve squirt guns, Stack says. The regulation-size cornhole boards were custom-made and also decorated in a Lincoln Highway theme.
The evening also will feature dinner provided by vendors from the Lincoln Highway SupperMarket, held Wednesday evenings during the summer (weather permitting) on the museum grounds.
A ticket is $55 for a two-person team or $27.50 for an individual. Reservations are needed by Aug. 20.
