Winter coats will be distributed to those in need on Sunday at the Ligonier Valley YMCA.

Ligonier-area residents who are lacking warm winter outerwear are invited to stop at the Ligonier Valley YMCA Sunday to check out garments that have been donated through the second annual Ligonier Valley Coat Drive.

According to organizers of the drive, anyone who needs a coat is welcome to stop at the YMCA, at 110 W. Church St., Ligonier. Coats will be distributed between 1 p.m. and 5 p.m. No registration is required.

The Ligonier Veterans of Foreign Wars Post and local Cub Scout Pack 370 are collaborating on the effort.

Those who have unwanted coats they would like to donate for the drive may drop them off by Saturday at the VFW post, at 149 E. Main St., Ligonier.
