While The Lamp Theatre in Irwin remains closed for concerts and shows because of coronavirus restrictions, supporters are continuing their fundraising efforts for the venue.

Volunteers are being asked to donate household goods for a flea market from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday and Sunday on the patio adjacent to the theaterat 222 Main St., said Terri Yurcisin, Lamp Theatre Corp. board vice president. The theater’s popular “cornteen” popcorn will be available, Yurcisin said.

In the case of inclement weather, tables will be moved inside the renovated diner, Yurcisin said.

The Lamp Theatre Corp., which operates the venue, has yet to decide when it might reopen. State capacity guidelines recently changed. The reopening likely will be discussed within the next few weeks, Yurcisin said.
