You Are Here gallery in Jeannette will reopen on June 12. Here, gallery staffer Maddie Jaynes of Pittsburgh views work in the 2019 “Stitches” fiber art exhibition.

You Are Here art center in Jeannette will reopen to visitors beginning June 12.

Regular hours will be 11 a.m.-5 p.m. Friday-Saturday and noon-3 p.m. Sunday.

“Printed Matters,” an exhibition of contemporary printmaking that was on display prior to the covid-19 shutdown, will continue in the gallery until June 27.

The Oh, Scrap! room, offering donated art materials at discounted prices, will remain closed for the time being. Artists in need of materials can contact the center for options for obtaining them.

The gallery also has these upcoming activities, with details to be announced soon:

• The return of last year’s popular “Upcycle Challenge” for adults, as well as a special category for children.

• Special mystery craft bags for kids.

• JAM creature flower pots, designed and made by gallery co-founders Jen Costello and Mary Briggs, available for sale while supplies last.

• Juried anniversary exhibition, set to open July 11 and continue through Aug. 15. Artists have until Saturday to submit works. Details are available on the gallery website.

The gallery also continues to offer Lean On Me carved canes and walking sticks to people with mobility issues.

Upon reopening, You Are Here will follow Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and state health and safety guidelines regarding public access. Visitors will need to wear masks, and the number of visitors will be limited to maintain appropriate social distance.

Hand sanitizer will be available.
