It’s been a scorcher of a week but you can cool down with some fun things to do both inside and outside this weekend.

Inside Ligonier Valley: A Home Tour

The 18th Inside Ligonier Valley home tour will be held Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. The tour is self-guided and allows visitors to check out the unique features of homes in the community.

Tickets are $55. Those attending can check in from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at Scott Wealth Management (formerly Citizens Bank), 121 E. Main St., Ligonier.

The tour is rain or shine, and no pets, children or photography are permitted. To secure tickets, visit lhhc.org.

Free movie: “The Little Mermaid” at the Lamp Theatre

On Friday night, The Lamp Theatre, 222 Main St., Irwin, will show Disney’s “The Little Mermaid” (2023) for free. The screening will be held at 7 p.m.

Free tickets can be picked up at a variety of local businesses, including the Lamp Theatre box office, The Dentistry, Norwin Chamber of Commerce and S&T Bank.

“The Little Mermaid” tells the musical story of a mermaid who longs to live on land, trading her voice for the chance to walk — and find love.

Opening of ‘Favorite Things’ at You Are Here

Celebrating its sixth birthday of art in the community, You Are Here, 406 Clay Ave. in Jeannette, will open a special exhibit of “Favorite Things.”

The show will include art created over the span of the past six years. You Are Here will be awarding two top prizes to works in the show, as well as honorable mentions. The winners will be determined based on “people’s choice” ballots.

All are invited to the opening at 6 p.m. on Saturday. The exhibit will continue through Aug. 3. To learn more, visit yah406clay.org.

SummerSounds: The Fabulous Gemtones

This Friday the SummerSounds concert at St. Clair Park, 132 N. Maple Ave., Greensburg, will feature The Fabulous Gemtones, described as a “Vegas-style show and dance band.”

Get ready for infectious grooves, interactive fun and a band with veteran stage presence. Pre-show music will be provided at 6:15 p.m. by Tim Schmider. The Gemtones hit the stage at 7 p.m.

Bushy Run Market

The Bushy Run Battlefield Heritage Society presents another Bushy Run Market this Saturday, The open-air market will host a wide variety of vendors set up next to the visitor’s center and also near the pavilion.
