Broken glass is strewn on front porch at mobile home in North Huntingdon where a couple told police they were assaulted and threatened by five intruders Saturday. A Hempfield woman was arraigned Tuesday for burglary, criminal trespass, simple assault and terroristic threats in connection with the incident.

North Huntingdon police identified three of five people allegedly involved in a daylight home invasion and assault Saturday afternoon.

Arianna R. Matrone, 18, of Hempfield, was arraigned Tuesday on charges of burglary, criminal mischief, criminal trespass, simple assault, harassment and terroristic threats filed by township police in connection with the 1:20 p.m. incident.

Arrest warrants for two Jeannette men facing identical charges have not been served, according to court dockets..

Officer Justin Wardman said a woman told investigators that she and her male roommate were home in the 200 block of California Lane in the Strawpump Mobile Home Park when when two women and three men broke through the front door and began threatening them.

Police said the three men went to a rear bedroom where they allegedly threatened the male resident, while Matrone and another unidentified woman stayed in the living room with the female.

“(The victim) said Matrone pushed her down into a chair and began punching her in the face with a closed fist. Matrone then picked up a piece of broken glass from the floor of the trailer, held it to the victim’s neck and stated she was going to kill her,” Wardman said in court papers.

In addition to causing more than $1,000 damage to the home, Wardman said the intruders broke out the windows of the woman’s car before fleeing.

Wardman said the woman had a black eye and swollen face when she spoke with officers at the residence.

Nothing was reported taken during the incident and a motive was not reported in court documents. Chief Robert Rizzo could not be reached for comment.

No one answered the door at the residence Tuesday afternoon. The front porch was strewn with glass shards from a broken screen door, exterior light globe and front windows that were boarded up.

Wardman said one of the mobile home’s residents identified Matrone.

Matrone, who lives in Grapeville, was released on $50,000 unsecured bond pending a preliminary hearing Nov. 4.
