Greensburg cops seek man who stole crossbow, ran into woods

Greensburg Police are asking the public’s help in identifying a man who stole a crossbow Wednesday from Gander Mountain. Police said the man took the crossbow, ran out of the store and into the woods. Anyone with information can call 724-834-3800.

Greensburg Police are asking the public’s help in identifying a man who stole a crossbow from an outdoors store and fled into the woods Wednesday.

Police said the theft occurred about 3:45 p.m. when the suspect entered the store and removed a crossbow from a box, then ran into a wooded area off of Tower Way. City officers, assisted by state police, searched the area for the suspect, but could not locate him.

The suspect is a white male, approximately 5’7” tall, wearing a white t-shirt and a Pittsburgh Pirates hat.

Witnesses said that the suspect had tattoos on his arms.

Police released a surveillance photograph of the suspect Thursday afternoon.
